Auping is the largest independent manufacturer of beds in the Netherlands. The founder, Johannes Auping, first started out as a blacksmith in Deventer, then started to specialise in metal bed slats. Subsequently they also added mattresses and box-springs. Over the years Auping has established themselves as sleep specialists.
