In 1847, in the heart of a region high in textile tradition, Alexander Turpault created his company in Cholet. Combining a weaving of linen and a garment workshop, he is recognized for his expertise and the quality of his paintings. For years, Alexandre Turpault is one of the major players in the luxury market. He was rewarded in 1878 and 1889 during the universal exhibitions in Paris and received a silver medal and a gold for the quality of his paintings.
In the early 1930s, he dressed the tables of the famous liner "Normandy" with beautiful damask tablecloths. With his know-how and his success, Alexandre Turpault diversifies his activity.
In 1994, the company Alexandre Turpault received the Oscar for the textile show for table linen. In 1999, the company was bought by the VDS Group, the third largest French linen company located in Nieppe in the north of France.
Alexandre Turpault is today a brand of high-end household linen recognized worldwide.
